      <description>&lt;font size="3" color="#000000"&gt;&lt;span class="StoryHeadline"&gt;No. 1 Penn State Women's Volleyball To Face No. 6 California Thursday&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&lt;span class="StoryTeaser"&gt;Nittany Lions and Golden Bears square off at 8:00 p.m. PT at ARCO Arena&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&lt;b&gt;Dec. 9, 2007&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&lt;b&gt;UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., -&lt;/b&gt; The top-ranked Penn State women's volleyball team (32-2) will face No. 6 California (26-7) in the second NCAA National Semifinal contest at 8:00 p.m. PT (11:00 p.m. ET) on Thursday, Dec. 13 at ARCO Arena in Sacramento, Calif. The first NCAA National Semifinal will feature No. 4 Stanford (31-2) against No. 5 Southern California (29-4) at 6:00 p.m. PT (9:00 p.m. ET).&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;The Penn State-California match will be broadcast live on ESPNU and will be aired on a tape-delay basis on Friday, Dec. 14 at 12:00 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The Stanford-USC match will be broadcast live on ESPNU and ESPN2. The NCAA National Championship contest will be broadcast live on ESPN2 on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 6:00 p.m. PT (9:00 p.m. ET).&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;Limited quantities of tickets are still available for purchase. Penn State fans are encouraged to call the Bryce Jordan Center Ticket Office at 814-863-1000 or 1-800-833-5533 beginning at 10:00 a.m. ET on Monday, Dec. 10.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;The Nittany Lions pounded No. 17 Brigham Young (30-23, 30-15, 30-18) Saturday night at Rec Hall to advance to its sixth NCAA National Semifinal in program history. The Golden Bears advanced to the NCAA National Semifinal by sweeping defending national champion Nebraska (30-28, 31-29, 30-26).&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;The Cardinal defeated UCLA in four games (28-30, 30-28, 30-26, 30-27) to advance while the Trojans swept No. 3 Texas (30-25, 30-22, 30-26).&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;The Nittany Lions have an overall record of 52-25 in the NCAA Championship, including six trips to the NCAA Semifinals (1993, 1994, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2007) and one National Championship (1999).
